Monitored quality
Enjoy a superior quality natural product. ARCHE marine algae grow in the clear, ice-cold water of the Pacific Ocean. They are harvested and dried gently. The marine algae are regularly tested for heavy metal residues and their current iodine contents.
Iodine
Algae are naturally rich in iodine. Excessive iodine consumption can lead to thyroid gland dysfunction. The German Society for Nutrition (DGE) therefore recommends an average daily intake of no more than 0.2 mg of iodine, which corresponds to a daily maximum consumption of approx. 1g = 1 sheet or 1 tbsp. of algae. Please follow the instructions on the packaging.
Average iodine content of the various ARCHE algae (iodine in mg / 100g dry algae):
Nori approx. 5 mg
Nori-Flakes approx. 15 mg
Wakame approx. 10 mg
Hijiki approx. 45 mg
Arame approx. 60 mg
