The company Sommer & Co. has five generations' experience making rusks and buscuits. The family business offers a wide selection of rusks, cookies and savoury snacks. All products are of course organically grown. For reasons of good agreeability and the strong flavour the emphasis lies on spelt products. The recipes contain only what is necessary for good flavour and optimum agreeability. Unnatural baking agents such as emulisfiers should not replace baking skills. The Vordertaunus area (Anterior Taunus) north of Frankfurt lies in the middle a large fertile region in which cereals with excellent baking qualities are grown. The company Sommer & Co. obtains its cereals, its main ingredient, from local farmers and millers who are certified as working according to the principles of organic production, thus contributing to short transport routes between farmer, miller and final production.
